343 Industries has been teasing the upcoming Halo testing phase for a while now, with fans free to sign up. Now, as some streamers began to claim online that they have received invitations and that there won’t be an NDA, 343 refuted these claims and revealed some details about the test - but not the date. Twitter content creators not officially affiliated with Microsoft, Xbox or 343 Industries recently claimed to have received their invitations to the ‘Flighting Program’, which is the initial Halo Infinite testing phase open to Halo Insider members. In these Tweets the content creators also stated that they will be sharing images and footage from Halo Infinite.
On the surface, this meant to fans that the Halo Infinite beta test is about to start, and that there won’t be any NDA. As it turns out, that is false. 343’s Halo Community Manager, John Junyszek, took to Twitter to clarify the situation, stating outright that invites have not been sent out to anyone signed up - yet. It is also important to note that Halo Insider users are in fact under NDA.
— John Junyszek (@Unyshek) July 21, 2021 343 Industries inform everyone via the Inside Infinite development blog about the official invitations being sent out before and during, so the first place you’ll hear about it will be an official source, not some streamer. The developers have also pointed out that while over 100,000 people have signed up to the Halo Insider program, many users have not completely filled out their profiles, which makes them ineligible for the test. There is still time to fill out your profile if you want to take part in the Halo Infinite beta, though! Since the next Inside Infinite post will be all about the beta test, we’ll likely find out the dates of the said test when it gets published, and based on the publication date of past Inside Infinite posts, it is likely going to go up on Thursday, July 29.
