Say Hello to the Lords of Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Village was already shaping up to be a pretty scary game with the presence of Lady Dimitrescu alone. But, as it turns out, the Tyrant-like lady of Castle Dimitrescu isn’t the only villain that Ethan Winters will have to contend with in Resident Evil Village. In fact, the gargantuan lady and her vampire daughters are just one of four Resident Evil Village villains. According to IGN, Resident Evil Village will have a total of four lords working for a certain Mother Miranda and each one of them govern their own separate region. As we’ve already mentioned, players have already had a chance to acquaint themselves with Lady Dimitrescu and her castle. The other three are relative unknowns. Although one of the lords, Karl Heisenberg, can be seen in one of the earlier Resident Evil Village trailers. He’s the whacky-looking guy who welcomes Ethan Winters to his domain, the Heisenberg Factory. The other two, Donna Beneviento and Salvatore Moreau, are less human-like in appearance. The latter governs Moreau’s Reservoir. The fish-like lord was reportedly designed to be the “most repulsive character on Earth”. Meanwhile, the former can be seen at House Beneviento wearing a distinctive mourner’s shawl. She will reportedly use an “evolution of the horror elements used in Resident Evil 7” to attack players. As scary as these four villains are, it’s their leader that players should watch out for. Behind the Resident Evil Village villains is Mother Miranda. So far, we haven’t seen her in action yet. All we have to go on is a portrait. It’s highly likely that Capcom intends to keep it this way. With that said, it remains unknown just what kind of a role Chris Redfield will play in Resident Evil Village. The longtime Resident Evil protagonist looked a lot like a villain in the trailers we’ve seen so far. Could it be that he’s working for one of the lords? Or maybe he’s still working for the good guys? Either way, we’ll probably know more about Chris Redfield once Resident Evil Village releases on May 7.
