Battlefield Mobile is the most recent addition to the series of shooter games. The new title will feature some of the classic game modes that fans have been accustomed to. The mobile shooter has started its open beta test phase in selected Southeast Asian countries. The game is available in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore for Android devices. The beta rollout is expected to include other regions as pre-registration has already started in the Google Play Store for the game.

The new Battlefield Mobile will feature familiar game modes such as Conquest and Rush. Battlefield 3’s Noshahr Canals and Grand Bazaar will be the playable maps during the beta tests. Battlefield Mobile will feature the class system that has been absent in the current version of Battlefield 2042. The class system will return to the PC version when Season 3 arrives next month. EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated during an earnings call in May that the new mobile shooter will possibly launch late this year or early next year. The launch will depend on the results of the beta tests of the mobile game. “We want to give ourselves the opportunity to ensure the game has all the soft launch and closed beta that it needs in order to tune and balance, but having played the game, I can tell you that I think we’re excited for the potential,” Wilson said. EA’s foray into the mobile game market is to be expected as Battlefield’s rival Call of Duty has seen massive success with its mobile shooter. The Southeast Asian beta test also targets a prime demographic for mobile games. EA is working hard to recapture the glory of the Battlefield franchise after a disastrous launch for Battlefield 2042. The PC shooter has seen a massive rise in its player base as new content arrived in Season 1. The current Season 2 adds even more diversity to the game with reworked maps as well as a new character. EA recently announced that Battlefield 2042 will be part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play subscription service. Battlefield Mobile is available on Android devices. EA has yet to announce the iOS version of the game.
