Is There a Hood: Outlaws and Legends Trailer?
The publisher, Focus Home Interactive, has done its fair share of revealing details about Hood: Outlaws and Legends before the game’s release. So far, Focus Home Interactive has released a video containing officially commentated gameplay, as well as detailing the studio’s plans for the game post-launch, and an overview about what gameplay is like. The video is only a little over a minute long but the video does a great job outlining how the game’s PvPvE mechanic works. Basically, in Hood: Outlaws and Legends, you not only have to worry about other players, but you’ll also have to dispatch and/or avoid in-game enemies. Does Hood: Outlaws and Legends Have a Release Date?
Hood: Outlaws and Legends is probably one of the few games slated to release in 2021 to not have seen its release date change. After announcing the game back in May 2020, Focus Home Interactive confirmed that Hood: Outlaws and Legends will release on May 10, 2021. However, if you pre-ordered Hood: Outlaws and Legends, you’ll be able to access it earlier on May 7, 2021.
What’s the Hood: Outlaws and Legends Gameplay Like?
Hood: Outlaws and Legends is a multiplayer-only game set in a dark and violent world where two teams of up to four players each will essentially have to race each other to see who can break into the fort and rob it of all of its riches first. Things get complicated when these two teams not only have to worry about each other but they’ll also have to find a way around or through the numerous guards stationed around the treasure. Teamwork, cooperation, and communication will all be vital to success in Hood: Outlaws and Legends. This especially as players will have to stalk the game’s Sheriff of Nottingham from the shadows and find a way to steal the keep’s key from him without him noticing. Otherwise, players risk getting hit with a potentially fatal blow. With that said, Hood: Outlaws and Legends will have four different playable characters. Each one will have its own unique set of abilities and characteristics. However, all four will play a crucial role in each game in Hood: Outlaws and Legends. It’s up to the players to find out how the proverbial puzzles fit together and which character is best used for a particular scenario. Ranger
The Ranger is the game’s version of the legendary Robin Hood. He is described as the “leader of outlaws” and is believed to have died already via execution. However, for some reason, the Ranger has since seemingly come back to life with his signature hood. The Ranger is essentially the game’s version of a sniper. He wields a longbow and can even temporarily take down the Sheriff. The Ranger also has access to flashbangs that he can use to avoid and confuse enemies. Meanwhile, if the opportunity presents itself, the Ranger can remove multiple threats using an explosive arrow.
Brawler
Little John appears in Hood: Outlaws and Legends as John Nailer, the Brawler. He serves as the game’s close-combat specialist and tank. He can down enemies with a single swing of his hammer and has access to the Wraith ability that lets him go on a rampage. Whenever your team needs someone to bail everyone out, even at the expense of his own life, the Brawler is your best bet at clearing a path.
Hunter
Hood: Outlaws and Legends take the stereotypical damsel in distress, Maid Marion, and transforms her into a mighty warrior. Although she and the Ranger share their penchant for wielding bows, the Hunter separates herself with her speed and stealth. The Hunter wields a burst-fire crossbow and specializes in the art of assassination. She is capable of taking down enemies quickly without leaving a trace, all thanks to her invisibility and smoke grenades.
Mystic
Hood: Outlaws and Legend’s version of the Friar Tuck is the Mystic, a former inquisitor who has access to mystical abilities that he can use to provide healing support to his team. However, each use reveals the Mystic’s position to enemies. Thus, players will have to be careful when and how they use the Mystic. But, should push come to shove, the Mystic is armed with a powerful flail that can do a lot of damage at close-range and mid-range.
