Some also think that Asobo could announce the game’s release date tomorrow at the Future Games Show. Microsoft first revealed A Plague Tale: Requiem at E3 2021, confirming that the sequel will be available day and date on the Xbox Game Pass at launch. What’s also interesting about the particular leak is that eagle-eyed observers spotted the achievements for the upcoming follow-up on Xbox Live servers. Not to mention, Xbox app users can already pre-load the game, hinting that A Plague Tale: Requiem is bound to come out sooner rather than later.

The combination of a lack of marketing and some gameplay-related issues turned away a lot of folks from giving Asobo’s original IP a try. But, once word of mouth got out and Asobo started fixing most of the game’s issues, more players started to appreciate the game. It also didn’t hurt that A Plague Tale: Innocence had a gripping narrative and unique stealth-based mechanics that led to one of the more memorable gaming experiences in recent memory, rats and all. The little gameplay we’ve seen of A Plague Tale: Requiem suggests that Asobo is building on everything good with the first game while making sure that it has minimal issues.
